What’s new in 2022? Sage 200 R1 release features

Sage is committed to making their software even better. Every year they take on board customer feedback and release exciting new features to make your life easier. So, what’s new for 2022?

Sage 200 new release

Sage 200 Professional version 2022 R1

The new release (launched 21st February) is part of a continued push to a contemporary, more streamlined Sage 200 solution that will support you working from home, the field and the office by allowing access to your business-critical data.

Web screens

New web screens for sales orders and quotes will create a better user experience and greater flexibility. With the R1 release you can manage your sales orders, quotes and finances on a browser, – giving you that true cloud experience.

New features – sales orders

You can review more information on your sales orders and view previously applied discounts direct from the order to better support your customer relationships, and to demonstrate you know your customers’ business for true relationship management.

New features – quotes

Personalised quotes will allow you to improve your customer experience and boost sales by accessing cross sell, suggested and alternative items direct from the new quotes web screen.

Print sales orders and quotes

With the new Sage 200 Professional release you can access your sales order and quotes anywhere at any time and create an attachment to email these directly to your customers. You can also easily print these documents.

Web screen preferences

The data and information you need for your role will differ from your colleagues. The new web screen preferences give you the ability to customise your view of day-to-day data, so you will only see what’s important. This works on a per user and per company basis.

Expanded API fields

The new API extensions removes the need for manual intervention with data shared seamlessly between systems. You will have access to a wider ecosystem of ISV solutions allowing you to build a truly bespoke solution to suit your businesses specific needs.

Supported environments

Sage recognises the importance of adapting and updating Sage 200 to maintain the latest security protocols and user experience. In response to Microsoft’s announcements on changes to their supported platforms, Sage will be retiring Windows 7 and Internet Explorer 11 from this release onwards.

With Sage 200 Professional 2022 R1 Windows 11 will be added to the supported platforms removing the reliance on Internet Explorer.

The new release offers a flexible cloud deployment option for new and existing customers through the Sage Partner Cloud program.
