The new features enhance the development arena of Sage POS and are designed to enable the ability to enhance the current functionality, develop new functionality and to provide a more powerful and flexibly route to link third-party applications to the core of Sage POS. Postcode look-up |
Improve the Zapcode-based postcode plug-in, for consistency with Object Model. This provides the macro language with direct access to postcode look-up functionality and the resulting address details or error messages |

Document creation and printing |
Improve the printing model. Adds a print-job definition language (PDL), which is a simple XML-based file format that describes the content and layout of print documents. Receipts, invoices and delivery notes are available in this release. Provide a standard mechanism for accessing Windows printers |

Manager override at till |
Provide an option for manager authorisation of reason codes at the till. This is an optional feature, controlled via the till configuration settings |
Managers can perform a ‘quick authorise' using their sign-on code |

Till profiles |
Provide an option to automatically switch the till's tax calculation mode based on account selection. The till can now switch automatically to a ‘trade counter' mode whenever a sales account is selected by the operator, and switch back to a ‘retail' mode whenever the default till account is re-instated. This is an optional feature, controlled via the till configuration settings |
