What does the pack contain?

Software update CD – This is a software update that contains all of the new legislation for the 2009/2010 tax year

When will you receive the pack?

If you chose to download the pack, you will receive an email in early February to advise you where to download the pack from.

Sage will despatch postal packs between 23rd and 27th February.

Note: Sage Payroll v10 is reaching the end of its software lifecycle and Sage will no longer be able to support it after 5th April 2009. If you still use this version you will not receive a Year End pack, but you can download the Year End guide from Sage.co.uk in March. You should ensure that you are using Sage Payroll v10.14, v10.15 or v10.16.

What if you do not receive your pack?

Everyone should have their Year End pack by 27th March. Sage request that you do not chase delivery of the pack until after this date. If you haven’t received your pack by this date, you can check when the pack was despatched by visiting the Sage Payroll Year End website at www.sage.co.uk/pye and viewing the Payroll Year End pack tracker, or by calling Sage on 0845 111 66 66. Alternatively, from late February you can download the pack from the Payroll Year End website.

When should the update CD be installed?

You should install the update CD as soon as you receive it. The update contains the correct legislation for both current tax year and the new tax year. This means you should install it, even if you haven’t processed your final payroll for the current tax year. You can start processing payroll for the new tax year before you have run the year end once you have installed the CD.

Before you install the update, please make sure you are using one of the following software versions:

  • Sage Payroll v11.10, v11.11, v11.12
  • Sage Payroll v12.07, v12.08, v12.09
  • Sage 50 Payroll 2007 v13.04, v13.05, v13.06
  • Sage 50 Payroll 2008 v14.01, v14.02, v14.03
  • Sage 50 Payroll 2009 v15.00

To check the version number, open the Help menu and choose About.
