200/MMS Administrators Workshop

15th October 2009

Perhaps the most important role of the system administrator is to ensure that your business data is backed up properly each and every night. If not, the implications will be catastrophic in the event of loss of data.

Good administration and housekeeping is also critical to the efficient operation of the system, reducing processing delays and saving staff time across the company. Other responsibilities include protecting the system from improper access, troubleshooting problems, setting up and configuring system facilities, managing spool files and much more.

This workshop will include:-

  • Creating manual and scheduled backups using SQL
  • Ensuring scheduled backups have completed successfully
  • Creating additional training and historical data sets
  • Restoring backups to training and historical data sets
  • Creating new user's, user menu's and access security
  • Setting user specific function permissions
  • Monitoring user login status and disconnected logins
  • Spool file clearing and management
  • Balancing ledgers
  • Closed ledger period management
  • Multi company stationery layouts
  • Excel Integration set up
  • Downloading and installing service packs and amendments
  • CRM user administration
