Internet submissions
When to submit?
The Government Gateway is currently open and accepting 2008/2009 Year End returns. So, as soon as you have finished your final pay period in the year and have reconciled your report, you can submit.
Note: HMRC is upgrading its PAYE Online services from 6am on 4th April to 6am on 6th April. Depending on the consequences of this upgrade you may not be able to submit during this time.
Multi-Company Data Merge utility
Do you process your payroll information within two separate companies in Sage 50 Payroll? For example, weekly-paid employees in one company and monthly-paid employees in another. If so, you must combine your data into one company for submission. This is because you can only make one submission using Sage 50 Payroll for each tax district/reference.
The Multi-Company Data Merge utility, along with a guide on how to use it, is installed automatically with all the latest software versions. To access the guide, within Sage 50 Payroll, open the Help menu and choose Information Centre. From the Information Centre, click Guide then click the Merging Your Date in Sage 50 Payroll guide.
If you are planning to run your Year End using one of the following software versions, you must download the utility and guide from the Sage website, www.sage.co.uk/pye:
-
Sage Payroll v10.14, v11.10, v12.07
-
Sage 50 Payroll v13.04, v14.01
