Checking System Requirements
It is important that you check system requirements before installing any software, including software upgrades.
For example:
Before upgrading to Microsoft Windows Vista, make sure that all software installed on your current Windows version is supported on Vista. Similarly, you should ensure that any new versions of your Sage software are compatible with other integrated systems you are using such as Sage Construction, Manufacturing or Payroll etc.
In addition, newer versions of software can sometimes require much more system resource, e.g. memory. It is vital that this is checked and address prior to installation.
If you install on a machine that has less memory than required, your programs may run slower, and in a worst case scenario, it may cause programs to ‘time-out' and corrupt your data.
If you need any help on the above please call our support team on the usual number.
